Is anyone intending on doing any POC events this year?
Anyone going to Willow 5/1-5/2?
I will be doing a combination of POC & NASA depending on my schedule.

The only other POC event I have scheduled to attend is Laguna.
I will be focusing on NASA.

Hey Charlie,
Yes, we've all become fairly inactive this season.
Like many, my finances have been tight so far this year. Add to that a very busy time at work, and a new business venture being investigated. Lack of time, money, and I admit some lack of motivation, has led to no racing for me so far.
Have a wedding to attend in the uk in May so probably wont make Willow. Would like to do at least one event each at willow, buttonwillow and cal speedway this year. Maybe NASA if there is no-one at POC?? Will not be doing Laguna this year. Last year was expensive enough. Can do 2 local events for the price of Laguna.
I think Jim is keen to keep running POC - and Don and Dennis are fixtures - but with Actis, Dicius, Momeyer, Hirsch, Winger, Kinninger and Todd all persona absentia; and you and Steve (and probably both Jims) focused on Nasa it dont look good for POC! Dont know about Ted.
Shame, but times they are a-changin' I guess.

It is simple economics. I can race more times for less money with bigger fields.
Hope to see you and the Mermaid at the track soon.

I will be there for the triple crown as the Squidmobile will finally be out of the POC dog house. I promise not to wreck Mervyn again unless he gets in my way.

I would LOVE to come racing... But the limited fields in POC and the fact that my car is persona non gratis in NASA makes it tough.... I do like that NASA has gone back to the high slip angle favored (Charlie calls this style something else) RA-1s... Are they essentially the same tire? or very different then the old RA-1...

The tire seems to be pretty much the same. I am at 22 cycles on a new set of 3/32" shaved tires and they are still fast. They seemed to wear a little faster but no complaints. They do seem to have the same characteristics as far as slip angle. You can over heat them but they come right back. Overall I think they did good.
I have a set of new Bilsteins in the box that are legal for NASA-POC. They cost about $450 if I recall correctly. You will want 350-400 lb front springs to go with them.
Get that pumpkin on the track.
The more the merrier.
