At last weekend's Willow Springs event, the consensus (six of us) was that we go to factory stock chips and headers in 2010. This will make it easier to cross over to NASA and PCA events. Those wishing to run aftermarket chips or headers will add 25 lbs of weight per item to the 2600 lb minimum. Those with fat cars or butts may not have to add weight. As the POC GCRs do not change until around June, we will have a gentleman's agreement to run stock chips and headers until the GCR changes become official.
Anyone opposed to the above, dig up six more 944 opposition votes and we will not proceed.

Kip Waterhouse is working on updating/changing the POC GCRs and asked if the 944 Spec group wanted any changes. Mervyn replied that our 944 group had discussed coming in line with NASA rules and decided that we would be running stock chips and headers in 2010. I confirmed that the 944 Spec group was in agreement and to consider Mervyn's email an official 944 request for a GCR change.
The NASA requiremant for a right side head net for non-halo seat cars was mentioned. A number of our 944 group only race with POC and installing a right side net would probably not be something they would want to do. My thought is to wait and see if POC implements this requirement for the entire club since it is not a 944 specific issue.
Opinions on the right side net?

Hi Jim, I believe that you can use arm restraints instead of interior net. I don't see a need to change that rule in POC.
